Danielle has been a nurse in Pediatrics for over 25 years. She has supported our unit and children in our community by advocating for better outcomes and being a parent champion. She listens, educates, and supports. She embodies this award more than anyone I know. She has championed our new onset Type 1 Diabetic program here at McKay. She has been able to get children better care closer to home by working with Primary Children's Gastro Clinic and Hem/Onc Clinic to provide their infusions here closer to where they live. We have had incredible outcomes and patient satisfaction scores.

Danielle is a huge resource for our team. We have gone through so much these past few years, but she has been the calm during the storm. She sees needs before anyone else, she supports staff and families, and her education and experience are priceless. Her patients and families adore her, her staff views her as a clinical expert, and our leadership team would be nowhere without her.
