Danielle Parnell, RN

Danielle cared for a baby who was at the end of life in NSW on the day the baby sadly passed away. The care and compassion she showed were second to none. Danielle had difficult conversations with the family, organised end-of-life care, helped coordinate the family’s wishes, and accommodated visiting relatives ensuring they were comfortable and had everything they needed.

She provided emotional care and support to the mother and the baby’s siblings and remained professional throughout. Considering this was her first experience with palliative care and the death of a baby, she was a shining example of how to deliver care during such a difficult time.

Danielle has made me and the ward incredibly proud, and I know the family will never forget what she did for them.
