I am 49 years old. I came in here with chest pain and, I can't lie, I was scared out of my mind! Once they put me in a room, Danielle said she was my nurse, but I'm telling you, in my opinion, she could be a doctor. She told me everything that the doctor was probably going to do. She was 100% right. They had a hard time sticking me in triage. She got it on her first try.
She did a great job, I think that all nurses should be trained to do their nursing the exact same way. She got me hooked up with the Heart thing, she got the IV in on her first try. Very few people can do that (I have hard to find veins), they are tricky. You have to know what you are doing to stick me. And I am telling you, Danielle does. I could tell she loves what she does. She even told me "I love what I do, I love my job".
Danielle kept close watch on me because my blood pressure was dropping. She gave me oxygen, she had to take the nitro patch off because it was affecting something. All of this and I heard her ask someone who was in the hallway on a stretcher, "can I get you a blanket". When you are feeling like I am, she is the one that you want taking care of you. She definitely deserves a DAISY Award.
