Danielle Ruiz, RN

I want to nominate Danielle, who was J's nurse and his saving grace this week at New Smyrna Beach Advent Health Hospital. J was in the PCU since Wednesday, as he now has AFIB and spent 14 hours with a heart rate in the 180-190 range; it was very scary! I can't tell you how great Advent and their wonderful staff were! Now back to Danielle, she should have been in the theater as she and J sang their way through his scary time with all the machines and lines going in him and being poked and prodded with his recovery from AFIB. She was an Angel sent to him as she kept his spirits up with her singing and kept him singing with her and smiling with the scary health event he was going through. Then, the afternoon when he was so scared and couldn't hold it in anymore, her compassion and caring were just amazing. She was an Angel sent to him, as I can't imagine anyone else who would have had the knowledge, care, and compassion she had! Thanks to everyone at Advent, as the care was top-notch from everyone at Advent, but Danielle took it one step further! I also have a photo of Jim and Danielle when she took him to our car.
