I am honored to recognize Danielle for the extraordinary compassion and care she provided to our son during his NICU stay.

When Danielle realized that our son didn’t have a primary nurse on the day shift, she stepped in without hesitation. Even though she already had a primary patient of her own, she took him under her wing and became a constant source of support for our family. She never had to do that, but her selflessness and dedication meant the world to us.

Danielle cared for him with exceptional skill, kindness, and attention. She always made us feel like our son was important and loved. No matter how busy the unit was, she made sure he received the very best care.

One of the most unforgettable moments of our lives happened because of Danielle. On our son's tenth day of life, she helped make it possible for us to hold our sweet boy for the very first time. After ten long days of watching him through the walls of his isolette, finally having him in our arms was a moment we will cherish forever.

Danielle understood how significant that milestone was, and she did everything she could to make it happen safely. It was a gift that no words can fully express our gratitude for.

Throughout our NICU journey, Danielle was not only an incredible nurse but also a source of encouragement and reassurance. She celebrated his victories with us, comforted us during difficult moments, and gave us confidence that our son was receiving the very best care.

Danielle’s compassion, generosity, and commitment to her patients go far beyond what is expected. She made an immeasurable difference in our son's life and in ours, and we will forever be grateful for the love and care she showed our family. She truly deserves the DAISY Award.

Thank you, Danielle, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
