When you sit down to your treatment and think to yourself that you are in the best hands you could possibly be in, that says a lot about the person that is doing the treatment. Dani is just an exceptional person.
I spent 16 weeks under the care of the Chemo Team at the Portland VA and Dani definitely stood out during the time that I was there. I watched her take care of a number of patients over the 16 weeks and was very impressed with the way she handled herself and her job. When asked questions, she was very concise and to the point and talked in lay terms that anyone could understand.
A lot of my appointments were first thing in the morning and I noticed that when I went to my assigned position, everything that was needed for my procedure in the morning was already on the table ready to go. She also has a knack for anticipating the needs of patients. In my case, the first thing she did was bring me a glass of water because she knew I was having an issue with dry mouth. Her attitude was always positive and she was right there to help.
