I have never seen a more kind, caring and compassionate nurse. My mom had a very serious event and was taken to the Critical Care Unit West. She was in a coma for almost a week and even though we weren't sure if she could even hear us, the nurses would talk so sweet to her and were very gentle. She had the very best care. Danielle went above and beyond the usual amazing care, she sat and talked to us, explained what was going on and cried along with us when there wasn't anything else medically could be done for my mom. She knew the end was near and let me and my dad and children cry on her shoulder. We just fell in love with Danielle. Everyone one in my family said they really wish we could be friends outside of the hospital. She is a beautiful person inside and out.
She made the most painful experience of my lift just a little less excruciating. She knew what I was going through at that moment and what I was about to deal with. She witnessed, along with myself, my dad cry for the first time in his life (that I know of). She sat there with her hand on his shoulder saying she so wished there could have been a different outcome. She said that my mom sounded like an exceptional woman and that she would have loved to get to know her and talk to her, she is so loved. I really appreciated her immense compassion and her gentle spirit. She does her job extremely well and we were blessed to have her taking care of my mom. Thank you.
