July 2026 Honoree
Danielle Whitt, RN
Dani consistently demonstrates compassion, dedication, and strong patient advocacy.
In one day, she helped two patients overcome barriers to a safe discharge. She recognized when one patient's original discharge plan was not the safest option and worked closely with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate a more appropriate plan.
She also advocated for another patient whose discharge was delayed by insurance and wound vac challenges. By coordinating with physicians and ensuring that the patient’s home equipment needs and follow-up care were arranged, Dani helped the patient return home safely.
Through her persistence, professionalism, and commitment to patient well-being, Dani went above and beyond to ensure both patients received the care they needed. She truly reflects the values of the DAISY Award and is deserving of this recognition.
