In my 10+ years as a member of Angel's Chaplain Team, I have had the privilege of being present with many patients, families, and staff members and to work with and observe our nurses in action.
In observing Danielle Payne, it has been my experience to see a 'breath of fresh air' in her leadership on Med/Surg. What a difference a team leader brings with her professional leadership. She strives, and succeeds, in connecting with all people, not only on the healthcare team but also with the patient and their family. She establishes a rapport with patients with her support, compassion, and empathy.
Danielle Payne brings a welcoming space for all who come her way. Her smile is a gift to all of us. Even though she may be in the midst of many nursing responsibilities she always welcomes me with, "I will print off your patient list for you." When Danielle is on duty, I always experience her hospitality and admire her nursing skills as she goes about her work with compassionate care. I see her working with other staff encouraging them in their individual nursing practices, and assisting where needed in clinical skills.
I have always found Danielle to be an enthusiastic supporter of my work as a Chaplain.
