Every night when she was my nurse, I always felt reassured and relieved because I knew that I had the best nurse I could have.
I was in a pretty bad motorcycle accident in April and was bedbound and couldn't do anything by myself. This was the first accident and also the first time I was admitted to a hospital. It was all depressed and frustrated. It was the lowest point of my life so far. Daniyah, among other nurses in Tower 7, really helped me recover from the worst time in my life. Daniyah not only showed care for me, but also to my family that was with me every night. She always made sure that we were comfortable for the night and had everything we possibly needed. Even my family asked every night if Daniyah was my nurse for the night because they know firsthand how she took care of me. Every night when she was my nurse, I always felt reassured and relieved because I knew that I had the best nurse I could have. We barely called for assistance when she was my nurse because she made sure that we were set every time. At nights when I didn't have any family members with me, she even checked in with me more frequently to make sure I was okay. She also took time to chat with me when she had time and asked me how I'm feeling. She also tried to visit me a couple times after her shift when she wasn't my nurse to see how I'm doing. I truly felt the genuine concern. She also gave me chocolate because she remembered that I was looking for something sweet a couple of nights before. That gesture really made me happy and feel lucky that I was her patient and she was my nurse.
