I was admitted to the ER for a seizure/post-ictal complications. During the first few hours, I don’t remember anything however when I finally woke up Danny was my nurse. I have epilepsy but hadn’t felt this terrible in a long long time. Once awake she came in with such a bright smile and kindness that made me feel just a little less terrible. As a nurse, I’ve seen ones that are there to simply do their job and ones that really care about the patients and what they do. Danny was the latter. I had a terrible headache and was nauseous and Danny sat right outside my room so my boyfriend could just pop his head out. He eventually had to leave but I didn’t feel alone because I knew I could just call out and she’d come right in. There was a long wait time to get a room, but she constantly updated me. I’ve been to multiple ERs for my epilepsy, and I’ve never received the kind of care that Danny provided. I truly believe she is a DAISY Nurse for her kindness, attentiveness, and overall passion she showed.
