I would like to nominate this nurse for the DAISY Award for her exceptional care of our patients and their families. She consistently demonstrates the highest level of professionalism and compassionate care for her patients, regardless of the situation. Working in this unit requires not only rapid clinical decision-making but also compassion, calmness, and advocacy. She consistently demonstrates all of these qualities. During a recent event, she remained calm and focused while coordinating care with the entire team. She anticipated the patient's needs, ensured timely intervention, and advocated for the patient throughout the entire case. What truly sets her apart is her compassion. She takes the time to explain to patients and families, offering her support and comfort during stressful times, all while never losing sight of the focused care or the person. Her teamwork, professionalism, and dedication inspire everyone around her. She is the nurse I would want to care for my own family in such situations. For these reasons, I strongly believe she embodies the spirit of the Daisy award and deserves this recognition.
