As horrible as I was feeling, Darci always cheered me up with her friendly demeanor and compassionate care.
I was admitted to Banner UMC through the ER department for pneumonia and sepsis. Darci Buckley was my nurse and charge nurse.
As horrible as I was feeling, Darci always cheered me up with her friendly demeanor and compassionate care. Not only was she taking care of several patients on the floor, but also had the responsibility of being the charge nurse at the same time. When she came into my room to administer meds, etc. I know I always had her full attention. Over the course of 3 days, I looked forward to seeing her: sharing personal stories about our careers and family (we were both veterinary technicians previously). She felt “familiar” to me. What an absolute gem she is: her professionalism, nursing expertise, kindness and caring attitude are such an asset to your nursing staff and profession as a whole.
I want to acknowledge and thank her for making such a positive difference in my life during some of my worst days.
