Darci Watkins, RN

A patient on the C6 unit who presented with symptoms that were not adding up to a straightforward diagnosis spoke to the patient experience team member who helped him fill out this DAISY nomination:

"I want to nominate Darci for advocating for me to get the care I needed at a critical point in my stay. I don't know what would have happened without her advocating for me. I don't know if I would be alive. She was like this unbelievable angel!"

The patient felt that due to Darci's advocacy, the patient's plan of care gained focus, and he began to have hope that one of the specialists would understand his situation and his condition would improve.
