My husband had been in the ER with an awful and traumatic experience. He went to the ICU and stayed for several days. When he went to the Stepdown Unit, he had several nurses, but Darcy stood out from all the others. She was so detail-oriented, precise, communicative, and, most of all, kind. She was reassuring, and she offered education about different things going on with my husband. She rotated his position every 2 hours, never made him wait to be changed, and did not act like changing him was awful or inconvenient. Darcy brought peace and comfort to what had been an intense week-long hospital stay. She truly set the bar for personal and individualized care. She is so intelligent, kind, and prepared. She had everything my husband needed for the day lined up, so it was ready at the appointed time. She only works once a week, but she came back off the clock to check on us and reassure me. People do not do that anymore, and she did. She is a real gem, and you never want to lose someone like that.
