Darice provided exemplary care to my father while he was in the hospital. When she came in the room the first time and talked to my dad, he said "I like her! I can hear her and understand what she's saying!" Darice's caring and compassionate ways she cared for our father were so above and beyond what we could have asked or hoped for. She always had a smile on her face and was so pleasant! She treated our dad like he was a person, not someone who was 89 years old and just here to die. She kept us updated on tests and procedures being done and was able to answer any and all questions we had. Her skills as a nurse are exemplary, as well as her compassion and caring ways. She knew our dad liked having her for his nurse so when she was on duty, she would request to have our dad's room for her shift. Dad was always so happy to see her come in. Darice would always come and tell dad when she was done with her shift and let him know when she would be back. If we as the family felt our dad needed medication he was not getting, Darice would immediately get in contact with the Doctor and let him know what was going on and what our request was. She always came through for us! Dad knew and felt she was there to help him in any way she could. The time did come when we had to put our dad into hospice care. Darice still continued to come in and check on him and would always ask if there was anything we needed. She was nothing short of our angel while we were at the hospital. Our family went through an extremely emotional time while dad was in the hospital. Darice assisted by putting us in contact with the correct people we needed to talk to. She was absolutely amazing. She continued to come back and check on dad even after he was placed into hospice care.
