Nurse Darlene has been taking care of me for 11 days. I have so much to say about Darlene's strength, confidence, and spirit. Her attitude is one worth catching. We started out in a room with leech therapy. Darlene, put on her gloves, reached in the jar and pulled one right out. It was wiggling like crazy and she said "Boy, this one is hungry. It is going to serve its purpose and bring your flap back to life!" So funny. That night I had a lot of anxiety and Darlene promised to watch over me to make sure that the leech would not crawl up in my bed. She has such integrity and did everything she said that she would and more. Darlene helped me find a new vein whenever my IV was done. She is gentle, kind and professional. She will stand up for patients' rights, I can see Darlene becoming a Head Nurse someday soon because she is such a great problem solver, decision-maker, and a cheery person. I could go on and on, thank you, Darlene!
