Darlene was nominated by a patient's wife. This patient's wife said what a sensitive and compassionate nature Darlene had. "She helped provide an understanding of my husband's condition, the treatment and the purpose of all interventions. She helped us understand and see the larger picture of how the health care system works. She was wonderful!"
When the patient's wife found out Darlene was our DAISY Honoree for January, she was very happy and said, "she took really good care of my husband and provided much teaching during his most vulnerable times. Can't thank her enough". The patient's wife added, "Please extend my greetings to Darlene for being such a wonderful nurse and such a great person".
