Darri Ann took care of our sister during her last night at Methodist while awaiting a room at the Hospice House. My two sisters and I didn't want to leave our big sister's side, and the room she was moved into was significantly smaller than the one she had transferred from.

Darri Ann immediately got to work requesting an additional recliner and a cot so that we could all stay with her that night. When she was told a recliner wasn't available, she went to another floor to find one in an empty room.

Darri Ann was so sweet and gentle with our sister, who had begun to have end-stage cancer pain. While we were resting during the night, we could hear Darri Ann whispering so sweetly to our sister about everything she was doing for her to keep her informed and try to minimize her pain. Although we had Darri Ann as a nurse for only one night, she made a lasting impact on our family, and we still talk about her to this day. We can't say enough about the care she received.
