Darrian Drapeau, RN

I am a 69-year-old who came into the med-surg floor after getting operated on for a broken hip. Darrian was my nurse that night from 7 pm to 7 am. From the time I met this young nurse, I was so impressed. She had a giggle and personality that made me feel so comfortable; the patience and love, and compassion were breathtaking. She has become my hero. If I were in pain, she was there to ease my pain. When I cried, she gave me a hug. She will always hold a special place in my heart. I can also say that the care at AVH was wonderful from everyone, but Darrian was special. We need more people like her in this world who really love what they do, and it really shows with her; it comes from the heart.
