I especially appreciated Darshika's humanity, warmth, and genuine, hospitable caring.
I came to La Grange Hospital in intense pain and disorientation due to gall stones and liver infection. This was my first hospitalization experience even though I’ve worked in hospitals for 22 years. Darshika made me feel like a human being again, not just a patient or sick person. She smiled at me when she entered the room. When I shared my concerns, she listened carefully and met me at my place of concern without patronizing me nor condescending to me. When I noted my linens seemed worn and used, she ordered me fresh ones and brought me snacks and refreshments even though the kitchen had closed; I hadn’t eaten. I especially appreciated her humanity, warmth, and genuine, hospitable caring. She made me feel that I had a friend in a place where I felt I was a stranger. I trust her and feel grateful for the kindness and caring she gifted me with. Through her, I felt optimistic. I wasn’t only being cured; I was being healed. Thank you for your extraordinary compassion and kindness. You make La Grange Hospital a place I feel trust to return to when I need help and care. God Bless You!
