Darwin was caring for a patient who was deaf, scared and wanted to leave the hospital. He calmed her by talking softly and slowly to her so she could read his lips. The patient had money in the security lock up. He made sure this was returned prior to her leaving. He was able to get her to return to her room and be seen by the doctor. He ensured that she had her medication scripts and instructions for her aftercare. He is always caring with patients; co-workers and staff. He is an example of an excellent nurse.
