We would like to recognize Daryl Moczygemba because we feel he exemplifies what it is to be a great nurse. Daryl always puts the patients and their families first, going above and beyond to do what is needed for them. His kindness and generosity doesn't stop at the patients, he is a huge asset to his team, always willing to help no matter what might be on his own plate. If medications for patients are denied by insurance, Daryl will help write a letter of medical necessity. If a surgical clearance is needed, Daryl will work on it without any pushback. Daryl is always approachable and welcomes any questions we might have, never making us feel like a bother or like we are making extra work for him. Daryl loves to educate his patients as well as his coworkers, wanting everyone to get a better understanding of their disease process lending to better outcomes as well as better patient care. There have been several instances where Daryl will have a full patient load and will willingly take on several sick add ons, knowing that seeing them in the clinic is more beneficial to them instead of hours spent in the ED. While all of his coworkers truly enjoy collaborating with him, it's also very clear that his patients love him. They love it when they get to see "Dr. Daryl" or "that bald headed man." He spends time with his patients and families, answering their questions and making sure all their needs are met. It is such a pleasure and honor to watch Daryl in his element, as well as work with him.

Thank you, Daryl, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
