Dat, who works in Emergency Observation at Harrisburg Hospital, was recognized by a patient's daughter whose mother was scared and didn't want to spend the night in the hospital. However, the patient immediately relaxed upon Dat's welcome and explanation of her stay. His ability to gain the elderly patient's trust, while respecting her needs, was impressive to her daughter. His willingness to meet the patient on every level, providing excellent care, updates and undivided attention had the patient singing his praises to everyone she knew once discharged.
