8 years ago I had my first baby. It was a rough experience and I was terrified to go through that ever again. When I found out I was pregnant again my mind immediately went to that moment, ”How will it be this time, I can’t go through that again.” I was terrified. My nurse was so thorough in asking questions about my previous delivery so when I explained she immediately jumped in the moment to be sure that we were going to be prepared for whatever may go wrong. She had such a sense of calmness, confidence, and promptness that suddenly helped me to feel at ease. I knew then what an attentive nurse she was and that she more than knew what she was doing. She ensured that I was prepped and ready for the smoothest and safest delivery possible. I’m so thankful that she was by my side for all of my needs and encouragement. It really helped create the best labor and delivery experience that I didn't think was possible. I know she may have just been doing her job as a nurse but coming from someone who is a nurse herself, it goes beyond that and is more than a nurse she is such an asset to Sacred Heart’s Labor and Delivery Team. I’m glad we crossed paths and I will be forever grateful for the safe delivery of our sweet baby.
