David was coming in for his shift and noticed a patient outside near our parking lot. He approached the patient to see if she needed assistance and learned that she had been discharged earlier in the day. The patient also requested a glass of water. David then went inside the hospital to get a cup of water and a map with instructions for the Go Line Bus system. He brought the patient the water and the bus schedule. He went over the bus schedule with her and attempted to assist her with transportation home via the bus. David went above and beyond in helping this discharged patient before his shift and displayed all of the criteria listed for this award. He is an excellent nurse and a great addition to our team!
