My husband has been in the ICU for nearly a month now. It has been so difficult and everyone has worked so hard to care for him. But the other day David, without hesitation or prompting, put a shower cap on my husband's head and shaved his beard. For the first time since he's been in this ICU, my husband looked more like my husband and it brought me to tears.
David performed a task that was so simple, took so little time but restored so much. David is an example of what an impact healthcare workers can make by going the extra steps to care for patients and families.
