Today, I had to have a Wound Vac placed. My nurse, David, gave me pain medication before, but the procedure was extremely painful. During the procedure, he came in to assist me in helping me to turn sideways. At this moment, I was in so much pain, and he offered and let me hold onto his hand. I felt he truly cared and wanted to help in any way to comfort me. This is something my mom would have done for me, but I had no family present at the moment. I was extremely vulnerable during this time, and he took care of me with compassion and always was attentive. Thank you! All my nurses and care assistants were amazing as well!
