David Herzog, BSN

Dave has been a nurse in the CTICU at Presby for the last 8 years and has worked diligently to provide compassion and kindness in the work he does every day.

Sadly, many patients in the CTICU are critically ill and, unfortunately, succumb to their illnesses every day. I am nominating Dave for a DAISY Award because he has shown exceptional care not only for his patients but also for their families.

Recently, Dave had a patient pass away, and the family shared with him their financial struggles. With his own money, Dave paid for all of the family's parking so they had one less thing to worry about after suffering the loss of their family member.

Dave deserves to be recognized for his kindness and continued hard work.

Thank you for what you do, Dave, and for teaching me all that you have. I hope to be half the nurse you are.
