David is a consistent and dependable team member and his years of experience benefit everyone.
David goes above and beyond to make sure his patients get great individualized care, specifically tailored to meet their needs. He is very attentive to his patients and has been able to detect subtle neuro changes many times and detected vasospasm in subarachnoid hemorrhage patients, alerting the physicians quickly and ultimately saving the patients' lives.
He is a firm believer in early mobility to improve the patient's lung function and mobility. He does this by getting his hemiplegic and restless patients up in a cardiac chair twice daily. As a certified Neurosurgery nurse, he is a great resource and example for everyone. He is an excellent teacher and personally taught me how to manage and troubleshoot Bolt monitors.
David is very approachable and frequently takes new nurses under his wing. He is a consistent and dependable team member and his years of experience benefit everyone. I have worked alongside David for several years. Many of his patients and families have great things to say about him. I do not feel he gets the credit he deserves.
David gives a 100% of his attention to his patients. He is very thoughtful and compassionate and always goes the extra mile to promote a healing environment for his patients. He also is an excellent role model for nursing students and new nurses and is very patient. His concise explanation for EVD placement and management is the best I have ever heard, along with many other critical care subjects.
