Nomination submitted by 2 students: "Dr. LaFevers is an outstanding professional, mentor, and educator, and I believe that he should also be recognized as an outstanding leader in nursing. He continues to provide an example of excellence for those in the nursing profession as well as those who have chosen to enter into nursing education. He dedicates extraordinary time and energy to the growth and development of the profession, the betterment of quality nursing education, and involvement in nursing political advocacy.
