He was caring for a patient and was confronted with a very challenging situation in that the patient was not doing well and his family was in great distress. The patient was deteriorating, suffering from confusion and was in excruciating pain. His family was very worried about him and even requested that he (the patient) be transferred to the medical center. David and the team were working with the neurosurgeon on finding a solution. During this time of waiting David did notopt to leave the patient's side. He became the patient's very own personal nurse, ensuring that the patient was as comfortable as possible. He even went with the patient to MRI and stayed with him to closely monitor him and help ensure he could tolerate it completely with encouraging words. Through it all, David went above and beyond the call of duty. He remained a calming presence to the family and was very attentive to the patient's needs.
