My father was admitted to the hospital by ambulance. He was failing. He was having difficulty breathing. He was admitted for cardiac heart care. Our family was finally given word that he was passing. He received wonderful care from all the nurses, aides, chaplains, social workers, etc. Each and everyone deserves a DAISY or Star Award.

I wanted to highlight the extraordinary, compassionate care our family received from Nurse David Martin. He listened, he was patient, and he constantly checked on my dad and family while he was there. He never forgot us during his busy day. David provided us with comforting words and positive energy, even though I knew my dad was critically ill. David tirelessly worked hard to make sure my dad was treated with the best care and was always gentle with him. When we had to leave, we always knew he was left in good hands with David. Never have I seen such loving, caring care taken to a new level. Thank you, David, for holding our hands and the hugs. You are amazing. Never change.

David is a superstar. I just wanted someone to know this. My dad passed away. We miss him and heartbroken, but know he received the best care with your heart unit nurses.
