I cannot find words to adequately describe David's attention to my husband G's long stay in the ICU. David anticipated G's needs, he was patient and always so kind. David was admired by my entire family and never made daily visits seem like an intrusion. David was professional and knowledgeable. Just as important, David showed traits that cannot be learned. As a final kindness, rather than call for transport assistance, he accompanied G to one of his many procedures. We will never forget David.

There are many kind and caring nurses and other staff at this new facility, but David stands out because of his intuitive nature. David is professional and compassionate. My dad is 86 ½ and has heart and lung problems that were scary enough to bring us to the ER a couple of weeks ago. He had a procedure and was moved to a regular room and just when we were feeling able to breathe, he developed a GI bleed that so far after 4 attempts has been unable to be controlled. My mom hasn't left my dad's side at all. Even though she is exhausted, it's just the bond they have that keeps her here. My dad has had many people in his room to visit and lift his spirits and the staff has always been welcoming. When David is working, I can see my mom is breathing easier. David reassures my dad and anticipates when we are anxious about results and lets us know. David is kind and composed and exudes confidence. That creates an atmosphere of calm in a very tense situation. My Dad has been without food and water for much of the time he has been here and David made sure that as soon as he could have something he ordered his favorite Italian ice.
I don't know how my dad's story will end but no matter what, all of my dad's family will have warm feelings when we remember the care David has provided.
