Just another day at the office for David, but he made all of the difference for me and my stay at MH.
I was very nervous about my final and biggest day at MH. I was set to take the third of 3 IVIG and remove a urinary catheter. I knew success on both accounts would mean a clean bill of health, but failure would be a devastating setback. So you can imagine my nervousness when my regular nurse wasn't feeling well and had to leave the premises early that day.
Fortunately, in came David to the rescue. Without skipping a beat, he picked up where the regular nurse left off administering the final IVs for my Guillan-Barre and talking me through the procedure for removing my catheter and ensuring restoration of this important bodily function. The good news is we had success on all fronts despite David being pulled off to rescue another patient with an abnormally low oxygen level. Somehow he was able to juggle that emergency with needs for keeping the IVIG flowing and confirming my full urination recovery after removal of the foley. Just another day at the office for David, but he made all of the difference for me and my stay at MH.
