David is a true blessing to anyone he takes care of. He truly exemplifies the meaning of the title RN. We feel his quick reaction to a situation made a turn-around in R's problem, recognizing he needed a blood test to help, and it did. The three days he was on duty with R he showed true compassion and dedication, truly a wonderful example to the other nurses.

All the nurses and PCTs we came in contact with must be the best shining stars in nursing, but in our eyes David is that one star that shines a little brighter. It was truly God's blessing to have met him.

David is always willing to take care of the patient that can be particularly challenging. This type of patient requires extra patience and compassion. He has stepped up on our unit when we have had a patient who is acting out. When a patient acts in an aggressive way, David reacts with calm and compassion. Recently, I was in a room with an extremely aggressive patient. David heard the conversation and came in the room to make sure everything was okay. He is always willing to accept challenging patient assignments without complaints and he does so with a smile. He is a true team player!
