David Palmer stood out to us the most due to his professionalism and compassionate care he demonstrated in taking care of my mom while she was in the hospital. He was my mom’s favorite nurse. Amid everything else, he took time to listen to her needs and wants and provided that for her. For example, he would say, I would like a drink of "chocolate milk" (her Ensure) and he would take time to help her with that, because she was incapacitated and couldn't do that for herself. He took time to feed her when she told him she hadn't eaten yet. His overall professionalism, skilled nursing, and compassion in her care from the first day she was admitted, until the last day of her discharge certainly stands out to the family! Integris Baptist Medical is fortunate to have someone like David.
