I have been in the hospital for nearly 3 weeks now, dealing with complications of cancer I just found out I had 4 weeks ago. At shift change when David came in to get report and introduce himself, I immediately felt a breath of fresh air due to his kindness and obvious compassion. It was the first time I had him as a nurse and he already seemed to know so much and care so much about my condition.

For example, I had nephrostomy tubes removed several days ago but the sites have continued to leak. This was causing me great frustration because my bed was always soaking wet no matter how well the site was patched. When David learned of the issue, he had a great idea of placing a colostomy bag over the sites to catch the drainage. What may seem like such a small task to others has completely changed my quality of life while here at the hospital. David has a genuine and kind spirit and will go above and beyond for his patients in any aspect he is able. Thank you, David, for being so great.
