As a new graduate nurse, David served as my preceptor and has guided and demonstrated to me how best to collaborate on keys projects to improve our delivery of emergency services. His experience and expertise in how he works with clinicians and other personnel have shown me how best to establish mutual relationships and goals with others within the department.
David's passion and commitment to nursing have truly inspired me. He demonstrated and transmits the importance of clinical competence, enthusiasm, confidence and interpersonal skills, good problem-solving skills, and clinical judgment. In his interaction with others, his demonstration of professionalism is always present. He clearly plays a critical role in the implementation and sustainability of best practices in nursing and continues to give and receive feedback designed to improve the performance of individual clinicians and staff as well as his own performance.
David is very detail-oriented and demonstrates excellence and competence as a clinician. He is empathetic to patients and goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure they receive timely, quality care. I looked to him a great deal about how to interact with patients, and document details regarding complaints and concerns, as well as, approaches to resolving them.
