My mother was in the emergency room in excruciating pain due to gallstones. David was not her nurse and was not assigned to her, but when he noticed how much pain she was in, he took it upon himself to go ahead and put an IV in for her so that the medical team could get her pain medicine started quickly and easily. It’s the little things like this that make a world of difference when you’re in a situation such as hers.
