Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the extraordinary care and kindness you showed my daughter during her long stay. After four difficult days in the hospital and not knowing how many more were ahead, David Vogel completely changed my daughter's outlook by simply being himself.
From the moment you walked into the room, you made her laugh every single time. You never rushed, never overlooked a detail, and always made sure she had everything she needed. One moment that will stay with me forever is when you were changing her bed linens and took the time to carefully tuck every one of her dollies into the bed so they wouldn’t be left out. That small, thoughtful act meant the world to her and to us.
When you asked her what her favorite things were and she said bubbles and playdough, we never imagined you’d return a little while later with both and in her favorite colors too! Watching you sit with her, blowing bubbles and playing, reminded us that healing isn’t only medical; it’s emotional too. And when you brought her a new stuffed animal to add to her bed, you gave her something comforting to hold onto during a very uncertain time. Because of you, the hospital felt less scary. You brought joy, comfort, and a sense of normalcy into a place that had been overwhelming. Your compassion didn't just care for her body; it lifted her spirit. Thank you for the kindness, patience, and genuine love you bring to your work. We are endlessly grateful. Although you were her nurse for 1 day, she continues to ask for you and hold her new stuffed animal tightly.
