Dawn A Wilson 2, BSN, RN AMB -BC, CLN

It is with great pleasure that I submit this document praising Mrs. Dawn Wilson, RN who was on duty at the VA Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. I testify to the fact that she was the principal medical staff member who saved my life that day. I reported to the VA Medical Center in A-Fib with a heart rate of between 150 and 180 bpm. Later, in the ambulance and on my way to New Hanover Medical Center, my heart rate went well over 200 bpm.

My heart rate was high enough to cause concern on the part of the EMTs and could have led to my heart stopping or being damaged. This entire healthcare experience was set in motion by Mrs. Wilson, RN. She recognized my medical condition and wasted no time in getting me the care that I needed. Her competence and her dedication to her patient's care prevented any heart damage that I could have experienced. Today, after several procedures at the cardio institute, I am doing well.

I was prescribed two medications that should keep my heart in normal rhythm. After two weeks of leave from my job, I am back at work attending to my duties. I present this document to the VA regarding Mrs. Wilson's, RN, for her outstanding medical knowledge, her attention to medical detail, and her patient care. She is the level of care that all Veterans need and will receive from her.
