I am a medical device rep. I am in multiple hospitals daily. I cover all of Kansas and Western Missouri and my favorite in my territory is Research Medical Centers GI Lab. The dept's director, nurse manager, nursing staff, and techs are the most well trained organized, and altruistic staff I have seen in my years. In regard to Dawn, she wears many hats within her dept. She is always prepared for what a case may throw at her and is always the physician’s right-hand aide. She is knowledgeable about what devices will be used for the case supports the physician and even asks clinical questions with a true interest as to why the physician is performing certain types of therapies. Her bedside manner is second to none and has a no-quit attitude, especially in cases that last for hours. Whenever nurses are swapping out for a break she stays through the entirety of the case. Without her, as a nurse, the efficiency of the case would be greatly affected. As a rep, you sit in the room and watch the staff work tirelessly to help their patients. You take a backseat and watch the staff’s workflow and make recommendations to make a successful case. My mouth is shut while I am in the room with her. She has the staff perfectly organized and ready to handle any complications a case may throw at her and the physician. Her poise knowledge and most importantly her passion are what make her a DAISY Nurse. I can honestly say that every day I am supporting a case at Research Medical center I learn something from her
