Dawn, RN on 4 South is often in charge. Recently, they had a particularly challenging shift. With several emergencies during the shift, and the nursing staff consisting of newer team members, Dawn was an exemplary leader. Her calm demeanor, steady hand, excellent mentorship, and concern for her co-workers created an inclusive, safe atmosphere. Thanks to Dawn's strong skills and kindness to her peers, the shift ran smoothly, patient care was excellent and the younger staff felt supported and empowered.
