Dear Team, I currently work at UVA Culpeper in the Public Safety Department. Recently, while making security patrols, I stopped by Pre-Op and was greeted by Dawn Brown where she assured me that tomorrow's procedure would be stress free and efficient. I joked and requested the VIP Treatment Package with Chocolate Pudding served in post-op. We both laughed, but full transparency, I'm not really a sweets kind of guy. I reported for surgery the next day and awoke to the pleasant surprise of chocolate pudding. Still coming out of anesthesia, I laughed out loud and said Who made this? Unbeknownst to me, Nurse Brown has a reputation for the best chocolate pudding on the East Coast called "Dirt and Worms." Did I mention she brought it in on her day off? Yes, she did!! Nurse Brown went way above and beyond to make a hospital team member and a patient feel special. This type of patient care is unheard of, and I am forever grateful and will never forget the experience. I departed the hospital after a successful surgery and an elevated blood sugar level. I ask that Nurse Brown's unmatched customer service and patient care be recognized.
