Dawn goes out of her way every day to ensure her patients receive timely, seamless care of the highest quality. She works tirelessly with the pediatric team to educate her patients, their families and caregivers in the language and methods appropriate to all ages and walks of life. Dawn always puts her patients first, even if it may create challenges in her schedule. She helps out nurses on other teams when she has a free moment and is always a team player. Dawn is the perfect advocate for her patients as adept with a six-month old as she is with a sixteen-year old. She is hands-down the go to preceptor and role model for our pediatric nurses.

Dawn is an incredible nurse and families absolutely love her. They request her and feel comfortable when she's caring for them. She's so thorough and always spends the time needed to make sure patients are okay. Dawn embodies family-centered care.

A young patient of hers wrote; "Dawn is a really nice nurse/person. I love her humor and that she's always positive. Always making sure I'm okay and that everything goes well with me as much as possible." Dawn is so smart and such a great resource, it's been great learning from her.
