My son has special needs. He happens also to be supported in his employment at Island Hospital. As much as he loves his IH family, he was very anxious to have a procedure earlier this month. We were connected with a great nurse in Pre-op named Dawn. Dawn felt strongly about making our son's situation as positive as possible and so Dawn made sure she was there with him in recovery, too. I was impressed with her kindness, her ability to communicate clearly to him, and her desire to make him comfortable.
