Dawn quickly noticed and ran out and caught the patient in the car and gave the care and compassion and support desperately needed.
I want to recognize Dawn for the work she did with a very desperate and sad patient involved with years of abuse. After spending a few hours getting nowhere at night calling to find a safe place for this patient. We only got 1 place an hour away that had an open bed and one agent who deals directly with helping these types of victims to be able to come to see the patient to help in an hour. It was a sad night full of no's for someone who clearly needed a lot of support. Dawn went above and beyond in delivering Baycare values of compassion, caring and integrity when the victim got scared and ran out to the car, Dawn quickly noticed and ran out and caught the patient in the car and gave the care and compassion and support desperately needed. Everything came together and she was able to be there and support the patient and reinforce this patient's trust and confidence that the patient was taking the first steps to care for themself and be free. The patient went with the advocate for victims and is in a safe place after many years of physical and all other forms of abuse thanks to Dawn going the distance for her patient.
We were all so invested in what this patient went through and being able to provide a way out. We are thankful for all Dawn did.
