My mom was in and out of the ER for 1½ weeks. Each time we went, Dawn was there with a smile and a love to help us. Then, my mom fell at home and had to be rushed back to the ER with a subdural hematoma, and who was the first person I saw? Dawn. Even though she was getting off work, (it was around 11:00 PM) she came into the room and asked if she could do anything for us. Dad asked for a cup of coffee. Even though Dawn was off work, she went to Wendy's and got Dad his coffee. It took me 2 years before I saw her again to thank her.
Today, I had to take my mom back to the ER and who was her nurse? Dawn. I have never seen a nurse more dedicated to helping others. When I reminded my dad who she was (he is 88), tears formed in his eyes. Dawn is an amazing person. My family is so blessed that she was our nurse.
