Friday was my first interaction with Nurse Dawn. After 5 minutes of interacting with my son, I was amazed at her level of compassion and empathy. I was so stunned, I just stood there and watched her in her element, in amazement.
Dawn stayed in the restroom with my son where he spent most of his time. When we cried or screamed, she was there to rub his back and she tried to make him feel as comfortable as possible considering the circumstances.
Day #2, it was Dawn to the rescue again. Both my son and I had big smiles on our faces when we heard her voice in the hallway. Dawn greeted us with the same energy as she did the day before. Dawn cares greatly for her patients and although I disliked the circumstances, I was thrilled my son and I had the privilege to meet the spectacular, amazing, big-hearted nurse Dawn.
Nurse Dawn you rock, and my family and I thank you!
